CS Studio Architects were approached by Brian and Sunny Rostrom to assist with the overall upgrading of the Oranjekloof school premises. The school was bursting at its seams. The overall site development plan had to be approved before Phase 1, before the first 4 new classrooms could be constructed. As this was surrounded by large houses and future upmarket development to the one side, it was not easy to get final approval and many negotiations had to take place to convince neighbours that the schools upgrading would benefit the area. The existing school consisted of 5 brick structures while the rest were prefabs.
