Location : Putuo District Zhoushan, China
The local government of Zhou Shan (near Hangzhou and Ningbo – an archipelago of islands) wanted to transform and rehabilitate the harbour and industrial area of the island into a tourist and cultural center. The development formed part of the Universal Exhibition of Shanghai which ended in October 2010. The purpose was to present a multinational project of innovative contemporary architecture on this site.
